White Label Recruitment are working a leading engineering business based in Warrington with really value their employees and as a result the retention and longevity of staff is extremely impressive. The company manufactures specialist engineered products for a range on industries including Chemical, Food & Bev, Paint and Coatings etc and all these products are manufactured via fabrication of stainless steel.

Due to internal promotion, they are now looking for and Estimator/ Proposals Engineer preparing technical and commercial proposals for fabricated products and systems working alongside the sales team, managing projects from initial enquiry to proposal stage, and liaising with Engineering Manager / Production Team pre- and during production to ensure item proposed is produced to specification.

Role

  • Providing engineering technical advice for the products, liaising with the Sales Team, Engineering Manager, production team and occasionally client contact points as necessary to understand their needs to agree scope of work. Role is predominately internal, but if required, visit customer to discuss needs, which are few and far between

Understand customer problems and suggest solutions, leading to creating a proposal to provide these solutions.

Preparing a design, costing and accurate estimates to the Sales Team / Commercial and Technical Director for fabricated items.

Liaising with engineering manager to identify economical routes to manufacture and suggest cost optimizations , develop internal cost and lead time to execute the work.

Sourcing and obtaining raw material / sub-contractor quotes as appropriate and negotiating best possible price.

Assist sales team in preparation and creation of technical and commercial proposals including providing PDF, Autocad drawings for proposed items in a timely manner, product specifications and descriptions, and review of detailed quotations to customers as required.

Provide support throughout the proposal and production stage until delivery and close out.


The Person

Have good experience in Estimating, Proposals, Costing

Have a good engineering background and ideally have worked with fabrication or vessels, but not essential and they will consider other engineering products

Ideally be apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree qualified in engineering - Mechanical engineering, manufacturing & production engineering or similar.

Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD.

To have a good knowledge of IT, including MS Office.

To be self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Build strong relationships with internal and external contacts.

To be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFI/RFPs.

To be adaptable and have a flexible attitude to be able to cope with a demanding work load

To have excellent organisational skills



Salary & Package

£35k-40k annual salary

28 days holidays including bank holiday

Company pension scheme

Working hours are 7.30 4.30 Monday Thursday & 7.30 3.30 Friday.
