The Opportunity: Regional Account Manager

Contract: Permanent

Location: Peterborough and Cambridge

Established in 1986, Hitec Lift Trucks was founded by two guys in overalls with a bright idea; to locally offer a fully comprehensive range of services and products to suit almost anyone's materials handling requirements. Over the years, Hitec sourced a broad range of long and short term hire equipment and a handpicked team of expert engineers. Since 2018, Hitec was acquired by the The Briggs Equipment Group who are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. The Impact you will have:

  • Sell the complete range of new and used counterbalance and warehouse equipment to all business types in a specific patched location
  • Sell service maintenance contracts and other value add opportunities for the Company based on the solutions required to satisfy the customer's need(s)
  • Actively develop business in the specific patched location, including knowledge of customer future requirements and competitor information
  • Achieve a specified call rate to ensure participation in territory potential and market share
  • Actively seek opportunities to build with key personnel in organisations
  • Proactively manage time effectively for maximum results
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of placing orders and generating quotations, as specified by the company
  • Maintain accurate activity and customer records within Briggs Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Liaise with Briggs suppliers and internal department to ensure a high level of sales administration accuracy

What will help you to excel in this role:

  • Demonstrable direct sales experience, ideally capital goods equipment or logistics, preferably within the Materials Handling industry
  • Demonstrable product, sector and industry knowledge, commercially minded.
  • Knowledge of storage and logistics systems
  • Understanding of marketing principles and account planning processes
  • Ability to communicate convincingly both orally and in writing to all levels.
  • Experience of selling equipment and service contracts
  • Experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload
  • Understanding of different contract types
  • Ability to engage with customers
