Senior Counsel, Wealth Management Europe
Our client a leading European Wealth Management banking business are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel based in London to support the European investment management business
The Role:
- Provide specialised, strategic legal advice and support to the business on a range of legal issues within wealth management in Europe with particular focus on investment management and custody solutions.
- Collaborate with business partners and colleagues across other functions to provide legal support and recommendations relating to the development of new products and digital solutions and Regulatory Matters
- Advise on relevant law and regulation both for existing business and new product development
- Manage the activities of external counsel
- Review, draft, advise on and negotiate client terms of business and investment management agreements
- Review, draft, advise on and negotiate UK elements of key supplier arrangements as and when appropriate.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Lawyer with experience working in in-house within financial services or Private Practice ideally with experience in investment management and or custody services.
- Proven ability to execute on key strategic initiatives.
- Proven business/industry expertise with in-depth, specialized knowledge and experience of UK and European regulations concerning private wealth / investment management services.
- Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to write clearly and succinctly.
- Displays common sense and good judgment.
- Interact with business and functional stakeholders
