Fabulous opportunity in Bristol for a System Integration Engineer to join leading global 5G wireless company.

*****Salary £45k to £75k plus benefits, hybrid working, visa support *****

The Systems Integration Engineer will deliver innovative functionalities and optimize next-generation of Open-RAN base-station products in LTE and 5G NR Cellular Networks and be responsible for:

  • Systems integration engineer for 5G/4G/2G base station products
  • Platform bring-up - BIOS, OS, networking, platform services
  • Integration of complex multi-node, multi-applications embedded systems onto Linux GPP-based server platforms (Intel, AMD, Arm)
  • End-to-end full telco stack bring-up, from core network to radio
  • Performance evaluation and analysis

Suitable applicants will have excellent academics and be able to demonstrate:

  • Independent problem solver with strong software skills
  • Effective team player, able to work as part of a global multidisciplinary team
  • Desire to work in a mixed office and lab environment
  • Practical experience of Linux architecture alongside networking
  • Working experience in Docker containers, ideally cloud native deployments

It would be advantageous to have:

  • C/C++ experience of high-performance, ideally real-time applications
  • An understanding of one or more wireless or telecoms standards
  • Experience of participating in plugfest or other IoT events
  • Experience of RF test equipment
