Job Description


We are seeking a talented Barista/Front of House Assistant who is passionate about coffee, food and customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, taking orders, prepping + serving food, as well as providing excellent service to our customers. This role also involves assisting with front-of-house duties, keeping an eye on our studio calendar and checking in clients/guests. This is not a studio-facing role, though a passion for music and video/content creation would be very beneficial.

Key Responsibilities


Coffee + Food Preparation

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks with precision and care.
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines and equipment.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Keep up with market trends and work with the General Manager to develop the menu accordingly.


Customer Service

  • Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service.
  • Take customer orders and handle transactions at the point of sale.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Plate up ready-to-go food and serve, clearing tables promptly to maintain a well-presented front of house.


Front of House Duties

  • Assist with setting up and maintaining a clean and inviting front-of-house area.
  • Ensure all displays are well-stocked and presented attractively.
  • Assist in monitoring the studio bookings calendar to stay aware of incoming clients and guests.
  • Work closely with the Studio team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking as needed.
  • Monitor the studio calendar and check in clients/guests.


Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for customers and staff.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Min. 1 year experience as a Barista or in a similar front-of-house role.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for food and coffee, and for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • A Food & Hygiene Level 2 certificate would be beneficial though training and qualifications will be provided for the right candidate.
  • This is not a studio-facing role, though a passion for music and video/content creation would be very beneficial.
