My client, a busy and ever growing company, dealing in construction and major projects, are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter / HGV Technician / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Workshop Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to work at their site in Rugby.
Key responsibilities for the Plant Fitter / HGV Technician / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Workshop Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic:
  • Test vehicles and plant machinery, drive them
  • Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
  • Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
  • Electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Hydraulic repairs
  • Complete job records
  • Refurbishing the plant and machines
  • Unloading and loading the machines

Essential Qualities for the Plant Fitter / HGV Technician / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Workshop Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic:
  • Previous experience in mechanics (preferably plant vehicles, Construction vehicles, and agriculture)
  • Clear understanding of mechanical / hydraulic / electrical systems
  • Full Driving licence
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Team player, honest, reliable, trustworthy and a good time keeper
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills - logical approach to tasks
  • Flexibility and willingness
