Senior React Native Engineer

We have partnered with a leading fintech company based in London to help them hire a Senior React Native Engineer to work on a number of digital-first greenfield products that look to reinvent the future of travel money.

You will join a team building a product that helps customers save, budget and plan their travel as well as providing a digital wallet and travel card to ensure your foreign currency is safe and secure at all times.

They currently have around 60,000 active monthly users are looking to grow this to around 3,000,000 in the next couple of years. Alongside the technical challenges of scale you will also be solving problems around internationalisation as they role their product out globally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, code, test, and implement features and enhancements using React Native.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technical requirements and feedback into product development.
  • Lead critical technical decisions and ensure the adoption of optimal architectural patterns.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts for coding practices, development processes, and team workflows.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing and technical expertise.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in React Native.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, including modern techniques and core concepts.
  • Proficiency with type systems like TypeScript or Flow, and extensive knowledge of React and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with Git, testing libraries (Jest/Enzyme/react-testing-library), and modern application stacks such as Redux, React Hooks, and React Navigation.
