The business boasts un-rivalled manufacturing capability based in Barnoldswick Lancashire, with a rich history of delivering high quality, innovative products across multiple customer channels serving both the retail and hospitality sectors.

The business manufactures mattresses, divans, upholstered bed frames and headboards from the Barnoldswick site and offers a broad range of top of bed products. This wide portfolio enables Silentnight to offer a complete sleep solution to their commercial retail partners that are enjoyed by consumers nationwide.

We're looking for a National Account Executive to join the team. Based in the North West of England, you'll work on a hybrid basis between home and our Head Office in Barnoldswick, Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue and margin responsibility, management and development of selected key accounts delivering profitable sales growth in line with account budget.
  • Development and execution of customer joint business plans in line with company and channel objectives driving revenue growth and market share.
  • Work closely with & support the Senior Account Managers in managing and developing relationships with key national accounts across both the Multiple and E-Retail channels.
  • Work closely with & collaborate with cross-functional internal teams including sales, marketing, product development, ensuring seamless execution of customer requirements.
  • Completion of customer data requests and administration support.
  • Monitor and analyse company sales performance data, market trends and share data analysis working with internal teams to develop commercial propositions to deliver share gains and business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations & proposals.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to achieve company financial and service targets.
  • Build rapport, credibility & trust with internal and external stakeholders.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

The successful candidate will have previous experience in sales, account management, or customer service with a demonstrable track record in:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • An understanding of the UK retail market across Multiples and E-Retail channels.
  • Experience of P&L management
  • A growth mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft BI an advantage
