As a Reliability Engineer, you will provide input into the reliability discipline budget and ensure closure expenditure is within an acceptable percentage of original budget. You will also develop and maintain good working relationships with discipline engineers by proactively interfacing with them on Reliability and CBM improvements/issues in their discipline.

In your first few weeks in this Reliability Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Support reliability reviews and studies into equipment problems and propose improvements
  • Proactively monitor, review and analyse plant and equipment performance
  • Provide feedback to Line Management, identifying opportunities to maximise production/performance and share best practice across assets
  • Be responsible for ensuring Equipment Failure reports are generated from site and followed up onshore for root cause analysis
  • Conduct root cause analysis on failures and report back to Discipline Leads / Maintenance Manager, identifying clear actions and follow up closure of the actions
  • Review equipment criticality and assess the effectiveness of maintenance and spares strategies, ensuring the optimum level of maintenance and spares are held, updating the assets strategy as appropriate.

  • A degree in Engineering or Technical discipline, Chartered status or working towards it
  • Knowledge of reliability management and condition-based monitoring techniques across multiple disciplines
  • Previous experience in diagnostic software and PI historian
  • Competency in the use of CMS and SAP maintenance.
