Role Description
As a School Engagement Representative, you will be responsible for reaching out to schools and educational institutions to secure commercial contracts for education content delivery and assessment diagnostics. You will play a crucial role in promoting our educational solutions, building relationships with school administrators and decision-makers, and driving revenue growth within the education sector.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Identify and research potential leads within the education sector, including schools, school districts, and educational organizations.
- Utilize various channels such as cold calling, email outreach, networking events, and social media to generate leads and opportunities.
Consultative Selling
- Understand the needs and challenges of each school or educational institution and tailor our solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and features of our education content delivery and assessment diagnostics.
Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including school principals, admission directors, curriculum coordinators, teachers and educational technology directors.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and support to schools throughout the sales process and beyond.
Contract Negotiation
- Prepare and negotiate commercial contracts with schools, ensuring alignment with company pricing policies and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal and finance, to finalize contract terms and conditions.
Sales Reporting and Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including prospecting efforts, meetings, and sales forecasts.
- Regularly update the sales pipeline and provide detailed reports to management on sales performance and progress towards targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the education or EdTech industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools is a plus.
- Prior experience in selling to international schools would be considered advantageous.
