Senior Structural Designer Initial 6 Month Contract Outside IR35 2/2 rotations – Offshore from Great Yarmouth

A Senior Structural Designer is required to work primarily offshore on barge campaigns to Southern North Sea and Dutch sector assets, on a variety of brownfield modifications and integrity related repairs. As the Senior Structural Designer you will be working on a 2/2 rotation with the possibility of some onshore working days. You will be required to have experience of 2D/3D AutoCAD aswell as PDMS software, ideally E3D. Scope of Services Carry out engineering survey of structural elements identified as requiring replacement or repair; As the Senior Structural Designer, you will provide engineering sketches for reinforcement/replacement/modification of steelwork in accordance with standards; Input into lift plans; Report progress to barge supervisor & participate in weekly progress meetings; As the Senior Structural Designer, you will coordinate with material coordinator to order required supply of loose material for offshore fabrication; Raise site queries to ensure visibility by all team members of scope growth; Provide support as required for other disciplines, mechanical & piping, rigging, E&I, etc. Issue signed off sketches/drawings to Shell DCC. Ensure scopes are executed offshore in accordance with the design drawings. As the Senior Structural Designer, you will provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector. Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on emerging issues Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate Deliverables Survey reports Structural design sketches As the Senior Structural Designer, you will input to project execution plans Construction workpack input Presentations sketches etc. to assist in scope communications Design Deliverables to Check Structural general arrangement drawings Structural detail drawings Structural destruct drawings Installation methodology drawings / documents Rigging drawings Survey reports As the Senior Structural Designer, you will have experience of structural design calculations Structural design and analysis reports Requisition (including SDRL) Construction workpacks Weight control reports Brownfield Project Experience desirable As the Senior Structural Designer, you will Experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry ideally Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate First Recruitment Group are committed to finding the right candidates for our clients, and the right companies for our candidates to work for.
