The Role

Reporting to the Product Solutions Manager as a Hardware Engineer, you will support the development of new board level products using the latest (often pre-release) components to deliver market driving products.

What will I be delivering?


The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Work in a team carrying out digital hardware and firmware design and development of processor-based products from definition through to layout.
  • Support the creation of schematics and PCB layout designs, ensuring the mechanical and thermal design comply with requirements/ schedule needs.
  • Carry out design reviews including schematic and PCB layout.
  • Prepare and submit technical work for review at lifecycle reviews.
  • Perform and document analysis and development activities as directed.
  • Final verification testing
  • Creation of required design and user documentation.
  • Reporting of technical issues and progress, supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) with inputs on schedule and risk management.


What do I need to bring with me?


Essential skills :


BEng/MEng/MSc/ in Electronic Engineering or similar/equivalent discipline;

Digital circuit design;

Excellent problem solving and debugging skills;

Good communication skills;


Desirable skills:


Experience working with PC motherboard architecture, e.g. microprocessors ( 64bit),PCI Express, 100 Gbit Ethernet, advanced Memory;

Programmable logic devices or FPGA ;

Embedded Software experience/appreciation;

Experience with Intel or ARM chipset
