They are looking to grow their design team further. An opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to support on contracts for National Gird and full range of the DNO's across the UK.

Responsibilities of the Senior Design Engineer:

• Manage day to day overhead line design activities and to produce effective high quality design solutions
• Develop design processes, policy and training material
• Perform the role of Contractor Design Assurance Engineer (CDAE) on National Grid projects
• Liaise regularly with other engineers and technicians to maximise productivity
• Provide day to day technical advice and oversight of Design Engineers
• Liaise closely with the Design Delivery Manager, other Senior Design Engineers and internal/external customers ensuring project, programme and budgetary controls at all times

Criteria for the Senior Design Engineer:

• Expert user of PLS CADD and PLS TOWER
• B.Eng or BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering, with honours, or HND plus relevant design experience in Transmission & Distribution sector
• Holds or actively working towards professional chartered status
