Role Overview:
Were looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with deep Google Cloud (GCP) experience, to join our customers organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Influencing Service Level Objectives, Non-Functional Requirements, and infrastructure requirements

  • Ensuring that the Service Level Objectives in the dev teams are met

  • Ensuring the best application, cloud, and networking security practices are followed

  • Creating monitoring and dashboards to visualise the SLOs

  • Reliability concepts to ensure high performance and high service availability, able to define, implement and improve business performance SLOs.

  • Production operations including 24x7 on-call support, escalation/paging with OpsGenie, incident management, RCA (Root Cause Analysis)

  • Maintain existing compliance and governance standards established in the business

Key Experience:

  • Deep understanding of Google Cloud (GCP)

  • Deep understanding of SRE ethos and principles

  • Vast amounts of Terraform experience

  • Solid experience with Python

  • Solid experience of Observability tooling.

  • Good experience in dashboard creation / data visualisation using tools such as Google Looker, or Grafana

  • Strong CI/CD experience

  • Strong containerisation experience

  • Serverless Cloud experience, across any cloud

  • Networking Security / Cloud Security
