CLASS 1 NIGHT DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: STARTS

£17.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are pleased to be working with a well-known distribution company to support their delivery network across the UK.

Working Monday to Friday, with a 5pm start time and earning a minimum of £17.00 per hour, you will be a key part of the night trunking team.

Day to Day Duties

  • Driving/operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring the safe transportation of the load from Swindon to another depot within the network
  • Liaising with the transport team to ensure timely delivery
  • Completing daily vehicle checks
  • Manual handling may be involved in this role
  • You need to move the pallets off the trailer with a pallet truck and on to the tail lift to be received by the depots

Essential Skills

  • Full UK Category CE Driving Licence, held for at least two years
  • Valid CPC & Digi Card
  • At least one year Class 1 driving experience
  • Good time keeping
  • Professional appearance, attitude and confident when dealing with people
  • The ability to work equally well as part of a team and on your own initiative

Desirable Experience

Night trunking experience previously will be an advantage.

Training

Driving assessment must be passed prior to further training.
