Draig recruitment requires a full-time Welsh Teaching Assistant to support a female student on a one-to-one basis with additional learning needs. This is a Welsh medium secondary school located in Conwy. Applicants must speak fluent Welsh. Duties will involve supporting the individual student with core subjects such as literacy, numeracy, and skills. Knowledge and skills in dyslexia, anxiety and low-level abilities would be an advantage.


Did you know that youdont' have to holda teaching assistant qualification to apply, as long as you have some experience of working with children. Draig recruitment can assist with free Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications for anyone looking to expand on theircareer development (subject to living in Wales).


Hours of work between Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm. Pays a min of £75 per day. This role starts asap working on a long-term basis.


To be considered for this role you will need:

Experience working with Secondary age students.

Experience of supporting children or young people with ALN

Fluent Welsh speaker

Be supportive, patient, sensitive.

Ideally have GCSE Maths and English to level C or above


Additional requirements:

Eligibility to work in the UK

References confirming suitability for role

Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willing to apply

EWC registration or willing to apply

Safeguarding training or willing to take a free course with us
