We are working with an expanding banking Group based in Kent, who provide simple and straightforward day-to-day banking solutions to their specialist customers. They are looking for a Risk & Control Manager to join the team.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead on the annual risk control and self-assessment (“RCSA”) and provide a report summarising the review and conclusions
  • Provide support and challenge to the risk owners in the 1LOD as the RCSA is undertaken
  • Lead on the annual review and update the Risk Management and Risk Appetite Frameworks
  • Support the business to develop key metrics including key risk and key performance indicators and undertake analysis of risk data/information for insights and possible impacts
  • Lead the analysis and delivery of risk MI reports for the Executive Committee and reporting against business principal risks within the Business
  • Lead on the provision of risk training to 1LOD teams and embedding / maintaining an appropriately risk aware culture.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Experience of PRA/FCA regulation within a regulated financial environment
  • Experience of a more digital environment and increased dependency on third parties and technology.
  • Proven track record of strong leadership within the financial sector
  • Deep technical understanding of risk & resilience methodologies
  • Up to date regulatory and legislative knowledge across areas of responsibility
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to forecast potential risks
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders
