Graduate in training for holography - we are happy to take recent graduates or ones with some experience, but looking for a new role. We are seeking a motivated, practical, and adaptable Physics, Engineering or similar practical science background, to join our small team of 5.
You will play a key role in our development, where you will be responsible for various tasks including; manufacture of master holograms using state-of-the-art lasers, operating production test machinery, helping develop production machinery, programming/using PLC's, quality control and evaluation of holograms. You will work with cutting-edge equipment and technologies, ensuring the highest standards of product quality and be involved in ongoing research and development. Training will be provided for all current machinery and processes.
TruLife has entered into a manufacturing partnership with Nitto Denko of Japan and part of the role will involve report writing and interfacing with our Japanese partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing master holograms with precision and attention to detail
Operating test production machinery for copying holograms.
Conducting quality control and evaluation of holograms.
Using converting machinery for roll-to-roll materials.
Research and development activities for new production machinery
Writing reports and updates – presentation slides preparation
Additional Responsibilities:
Using laser cutters and markers, 3D printers, motion control systems, Spectrometers, Vision Systems.
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment as we work in clean rooms
Requirements
Required:
Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Adaptable and versatile, with a willingness to learn new skills.
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to prepare slides in PowerPoint, ability to take good lab notes and summarise
Right to work in the UK.
Own transport for commuting to our Castleford location and occasional trips between company sites in Oldham and Leeds (from Castleford).
Desirable:
Experience in a laboratory or technological setting.
Experience with lasers and/or optical alignment.
Experience in measuring and using scientific devices
Use of CAD software and interpreting technical drawings
Experience of clean rooms and working in them
Programming skills in Basic, C++, and Python.
Familiarity with PLC controllers, especially Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi.
Experience with process automation (motion control, vision systems, etc)
