Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver DT lessons that are engaging, interactive, and hands-on
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and critical thinking
- Assess and provide timely feedback on student progress and performances
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the DT curriculum
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities
- Ensure the safety of students during DT lessons and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area
- Relevant teaching experience in Design and Technology
- Knowledge of current educational trends and practices in DT education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse classroom and cater to individual student needs
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in DT teaching
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational advancements
