Approved Mental Health Professionals
It’s an exciting time to be joining Brent’s Adult Social Care service as we implement an ambitious transformation programme.
As a result, we have some fantastic opportunities for established Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) to join one of our teams.
We are dedicated to developing the careers of our Social Workers and are committed to enhancing your Continued Professional Development through our innovative Skills Academy.
About the role
As an Approved Mental Health Professional at Brent Adult Social Care, you’ll respond to individuals requiring formal or informal support as described in the Mental Health Act.
This is a great time to be joining the service, as the progression of our Approved Mental Health Professionals into senior roles has created new opportunities in teams such as Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Hospital Discharge, and Access and Information.
You’ll work to a strength-based approach to promote the independence, interests, and rights of our residents and their families.
Across our Adult Social Care service, we strive to deliver a culture of working together, positive risk-taking, and accountability. Our core aim is to support our residents to be influential, active members of our community.
As part of your Continued Professional Development you can choose a pathway to support your career interests and ambitions, alongside development into management positions. Opportunities are also available to train as a Best Interest Assessor or Practice Educator, enhancing our frontline operational offer to our residents.
