FPG has a remote opportunity for a Fiber Planner with Smallworld experience. For the right candidate, an immediate start within the next 2-4 weeks is on offer. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK’s leading telecom brands and receive support in getting SC Security Clearance. This is a long-term 12 month rolling contract remote working opportunity (candidate must live within 90 minutes commute to Manchester).


It is a mandatory requirement for you to be eligiblie for SC Security Clearance (5 years of current and continuous residence in the UK). You do not need to currently hold SC Clearance, but you must be eligible.

The mission – Maintaining and updating fibre solutions for secure customer connectivity.


Responsibilities

  • Work with the Design and Build department to collect data on HLD and LLD and as-built for secure customers.
  • Update and maintain the fiber inventory in Smallworld PNI in accordance with the as-built materials received from the supply chain in the format needed by the procedure.
  • Work together to coordinate and address concerns with both internal and external stakeholders in order to get support.
  • Verify the request and the designated fibers in the internal tie cable to ensure that customer orders are secure.
  • Verify the as-built pack supplied by the supplier chain to make sure it conforms with internal criteria.
  • Verify that all internal records and databases are updated in accordance with the as-built procedure.
  • Bring up questions about missing data in the built packets with the supply chain.
  • Work together and coordinate with other teams to find solutions and gain support.


Performance Metrics

  • As-built pack validation and approval within 5 business days from submission
  • As-built update in inventory within 10 business days from pack submission
  • Quality of Inventory update should be >98%
  • Measure application to be processed within 5 business days from submission
  • Pay cert to be issued for submitted measures every Monday >5 business days from submission


Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in using GIS Applications Smallworld PNI, PRM & GSA
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Telecom or other allied subjects
