Here at BurnsSheehan, we are working with a leading innovator in the Environmental Sustainability space as they look for an Azure DevOps Engineer Specialist to join them on a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of their ever-growing team as they embark on a 5-Year Digital Transformation.

As the Azure DevOps Engineer Specialist, you will report to the Technical Delivery Team Lead while taking technical direction and workload instructions from the Principal Technical Lead. You will be responsible for the delivery of Azure services, maintaining all elements of the defined Cloud Appropriate Strategy, supporting project delivery, and providing escalation support and training to other members of the Technical Services teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining all elements of Azure Service Infrastructure, supporting and optimising key functional areas.
  • Build and maintain scalable and robust infrastructure solutions using Azure, IAC, Bicep, and Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure infrastructure security and proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities.
  • Provide day-to-day consultation, training, troubleshooting, and problem-solving to the IT Department for projects, business transformation, and all BAU initiatives.
  • Support the technical integration of M&A projects, ensuring Best Practice.

Essential Requirements:

  • Microsoft, Azure, and MS public and private cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Knowledge necessary to propose relevant IT responses to changing business and project risks.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure design and support.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
