James Adams is seeking an experienced Project Manager with IT and Business change experience. This is working hybrid remotely in Birmingham on a full-time basis.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
We're seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead and deliver single or multiple Business Information Systems (BIS) supported change projects. You'll ensure projects stay within scope, meet quality standards, and are completed on time and within budget.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with stakeholders (internal/external, including suppliers) to understand business needs, translate them into actionable plans, and communicate effectively.
- Advocate for change initiatives – work with internal teams to showcase how technology can improve business processes and deliver value.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans to keep projects on track.
- Provide leadership and motivate project team members throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Create work plans, manage resources, and allocate personnel/resources efficiently across project phases.
- Identify and manage project risks using established techniques.
- Manage project communication - develop a communication plan and work with relevant teams to ensure clear and consistent updates.
- Track progress, generate status reports, and adjust schedules/plans as needed.
- Manage and communicate change requests and incidents using established processes.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, system controls, and documentation policies.
- Build strong relationships with IT colleagues and gain a solid understanding of BIS systems and their operational environment.
You Are:
- An IT and Business User savvy individual with a passion for problem-solving. Experience working with various technologies (including Microsoft) in business operations is a plus.
- A proven Project Manager with a track record of successfully delivering multiple projects or a large-scale project.
- Ideally have experience working within a professional services organisation
- Familiar with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Prince2, or Agile).
- Business-minded with a strong understanding of business needs. You can build trust and strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Possess a blend of business, IT, financial, and communication skills – this is a visible role with significant impact.
- Knowledgeable about current and emerging technologies and how businesses leverage them for digital transformation.
- A team player who excels at building relationships and influencing all levels in a matrix-managed environment (including external vendors).
