Our client are looking for an ECD to elevate their creative output and ensure alignment with their strategic goals and sustainability commitments. This pivotal role involves leading creative direction for key retail accounts, enhancing brand narratives, and executing high-impact campaigns.

The ECD will drive creative excellence through innovative concepts, mentorship of the creative team, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages brave, bold storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative Leadership: Spearhead creative strategies and concepts that effectively communicate clients’ brand ethos, particularly in the retail sector. Lead the creative phases of campaigns from concept through to completion.
  • Client Partnership: Maintain and grow relationships with key retail clients, ensuring their creative needs are met and expectations exceeded, with sustainability at the core of all initiatives.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the creative team, promoting a culture of innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimisation: Collaborate with other department leaders to refine creative processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Financial Oversight: Work with the finance team to manage budgets and ensure projects are delivered within financial parameters.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams.
  • Strong strategic and conceptual skills with a deep understanding of brand development, particularly in retail.
  • The ability to execute and design concepts to the highest standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating creative vision and engaging both clients and team members.
  • Strong ownership of process and quality with the ability to delegate and manage time well.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 9 years in a creative role within an agency environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Experience in the retail sector, with a successful track record of developing compelling creative campaigns.
  • Proven experience in an agency setting, demonstrating capability in high-level creative strategy and execution.

  • Strong dedication to sustainability and ethical practices.
  • Ambitious and driven, with a desire to exceed expectations and contribute to overall business success.

Personal Situation:

  • Ability to work from Leeds a minimum of two days per week.
  • Willing and able to travel as required for client meetings and team sessions.
  • Flexible to meet project demands, which may include occasional extended hours.
