As part of our ongoing strategy for growth, Apollo is recruiting an Instrument Engineer to support a variety of ongoing and upcoming Instrument projects. This opportunity is open to both Staff and Contract.



Role Description

Reporting to the E&I Manager, you will support the Instrument team to technically execute engineering projects across Apollo’s renewables and carbon energy divisions. As a Engineer you will be originating and approving engineering deliverables and working with the design team to produce technical drawings. You will also support technical and commercial bids and engage with business development in the promotion of Apollo’s services.



Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation and checking of Instrument engineering deliverables including calculations, analyses, reports in line with project procedures, standards, and specifications
  • Preparation of equipment specifications
  • Prepare enquiry packages for Instrument equipment and associated documentation
  • Instrument load estimation/profiling
  • Project estimating input on behalf of the Instrument discipline
  • Liaise with the Instrument designers as necessary
  • Provide input to project bids and lead work scopes as required



Essential Criteria and Qualifications

  • Engineering degree relevant to Instrument Engineering
  • Previous upstream Oil and Gas Engineering experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of international standards relating to Instrument equipment and system design, current legislative and industry requirements
  • Experience in the field of Instrument system design across a range of small and medium sized projects
  • Experienced in working in different project life cycles (concept, FEED, and detailed design)
  • Conversant in MS office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
