About the Company: MDE is recruiting on behalf of a client experiencing significant growth and success in securing projects across Niche Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Medical, and other sectors. They are seeking a New Projects Introduction Engineer (NPI Engineer) to join their team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to be involved in projects from inception to completion, with the flexibility to shape working practices to meet project needs. This position involves a mix of office and shop floor work, with occasional travel to customers and suppliers. It's an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is commercially astute and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


About the Role: This role offers significant growth potential, with the possibility of progressing into a management position for the right candidate.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the Design & Projects Team with new project launches.
  • Maintain communication with customers and suppliers.
  • Manage and control project data.
  • Create and distribute weekly timing plans.
  • Organise and attend mould trials, reporting any issues.
  • Perform part measurements using CMM and other metrology equipment.
  • Submit ISIR, PSW, PPAP, and FAIR documentation.
  • Develop work instructions and visual aids for production teams.
  • Oversee the handover of new projects from technical to manufacturing teams.

Qualifications: Applicants must be authorised to live and work in the UK.


Required Skills:


  • Proficient in CAD systems (design skills are a plus).
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of injection mould tooling, processing, and materials.
  • Familiarity with secondary operations such as ultrasonic welding, painting, printing, and manual assembly.
  • Experience working with ISO9001 quality standards and systems.
