RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

People & Culture

To manage the care and growth of a team in accordance with Company procedures, with reference to time, performance, behaviours and quality.

Ensure the work place is at all times safe and meets appropriate health, safety and environment standards.

Understand the tasks required including risk and control measures.

Release production activities, restrict or suspend any activity including contractors and cease any activity if you consider safety is being compromised.

Technical/Operations

  • Provide technical guidance in relation to your area of expertise.
  • Take ownership and deliver their objectives to schedule and quality in accordance with Company Processes and Procedures.
  • Identify key risks and issues and, where appropriate take mitigating action; where mitigation is not possible, ensure effective capture through recognised Company reporting routes
  • Ensure timely and effective closure of owned actions ensuring, standards/quality and where appropriate, that corrective action taken prevents further recurrence of identified issue.
  • Ensure you provide accurate time recording and bookings against the project activities undertaken by your team and take responsibility to raise and correct any issues arising.
  • The supervisor is responsible for the correct and safe use of tooling and equipment.

Maintenance

  • Maintain the Planned Preventative Maintenance Program and schedule inclusive of statutory inspections
  • Arrange the expeditious repair of any unplanned equipment or service breakdown
  • Discuss requirements with suppliers, preparing documentation for purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices
  • Manage sub-contractors who provide planned and reactive maintenance works and legislative inspections to Company equipment.
Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrates competency in line with Company ethos
  • Adequate relevant trade knowledge
  • ILM 3 or prepared to work towards
  • Ability to interpret parts manuals, schematic drawings and parts lists
  • Demonstrates Leadership qualities in line Company ethos
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook / Word / Excel)
  • Requirement for short notice/working outside of normal shift pattern as dictated by the task.
  • Ideally in possession of, or confirmed willing to be trained in;
  • Use of MEWP training
  • Working at Height training
  • Confined Space training
  • IOSH
