Job Description

The Job Mission

We are excited to recruit a Mechanical Project Engineer for the Hinkley Point C project. This permanent role is part of our Construction Team and focuses on the following key responsibilities:
Anticipate operational constraints and prepare mechanical activities
Address mechanical issues related to installation
Support other construction scope subjects as needed
Develop Assystem's knowledge on EPR erection activities
Optimize mechanical activities to meet technical/safety requirements
Review surveillance plans according to policy and project documentation
Ensure compliance with UK regulations during installation
Engage with stakeholders to support activity delivery

Qualifications

Essential Skills:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Background in preparation and installation of piping and mechanical equipment
Strong technical interest in construction or maintenance of industrial installations
Mastery of computer tools, including data manipulation in Excel and CAD environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:
Experience in the nuclear sector would be great, but not essential
Capability to translate field operational experience into OPEX
Familiarity with 3D models and viewers
