About the job
As Category Manager you will develop and implement the procurement strategies for our clients Direct and Indirect spend, excluding IT.
You will help support and take them from where we are now to a preferred, cost-effective and value add supplier list that is fit for purpose.
Our clients business has grown from 80 to 800 employees over the past 6 years, their footprint has expanded across England and our customer numbers continue to grow 50%+ year on year.
Their direct and indirect spend has grown too, as has the supplier list. As they mature a recent restructure has resulted in this new role being created to help rationalise that supplier list.
The role will involve working with the business to understand procurement needs, market analysis, negotiating contracts with vendors and managing supplier relationships.
We therefore require similar previous procurement experience where you have driven savings.
