Carbon60 are currently working in partnership with a leading bespoke micromachining engineering business to recruit a skilled and experienced Quality Engineer based in Abingdon on a permanent basis.

The business are specialists in engineering one of a kind manufacturing machines that incorporate various laser and fibre optic technology to produce inline sensors to measure turbidity, UV-VIS-NIR absorbance, colour, concentration, pH and conductivity using innovative technologies for accurate and repeatable measurement results.

The business is a global company operating in over 110 countries across the world, due to continued expansion they are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to take the lead on developing and monitoring company quality procedures as well as liaising with customers and suppliers on all quality matters.

This will be based on site at their new state of the art manufacturing site based in Abingdon.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with all areas of the business in regard to all quality processes, this would include design, electrical and mechanical divisions.
  • Manager QMS systems (quality management system)
  • Take the lead in quality audits.
  • Monitoring and completion of all quality documentation.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits.
  • Report to the Head of Quality.
  • Attend company meetings to provide input from a quality perspective.

Experience required:

  • The Ideal candidate will have experience working to ISO 14001
  • Experience of ISO 13485 quality standards is beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing-based role ideally with knowledge of the production of smaller components and products.
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Educated with relevant qualifications in engineering or quality.

This is a site based role working 4 days onsite and one day a week from home.
