Process Development Engineer

A world leading manufacturer is seeking a Process Development Engineer to join its team, in Hampshire, on a permanent basis.

The primary function of this role will involve, taking a role in the process element of the development of new products, equipment, processes and materials. The job holder will work on one or more projects managed by a project manager and will at times be responsible for the delivery of solutions on smaller projects.
You will have experience with technical contribution to multi-functional projects. You will apply knowledge in your core discipline to industrial processes and product development, problem-solving, and process improvement. Experience in lean manufacturing and awareness of design tools and techniques such as FMEA etc., would also be advantageous.
Other key responsibilities include:
- The primary role is to assist with the development of new products, tooling and metrology to enable the company to compete in different market segments and to improve product cost, delivery and quality.
- Developing processes from pilot plant, through to manufacturing.
- Conducting feasibility studies on new processes and equipment.
- Generation of engineering studies.
- Commissioning new equipment and processes.
- To support the development of products and processes in manufacturing throughout their lifecycle at acceptable cost, volume and quality performance levels through the production of new tooling designs.

In order to be considered candidates will be degree qualified in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or other related field. You will need experience in troubleshooting and monitoring processes and products. Candidates must have a demonstrable track record in a similar role.
