Lead VFX Artist

Our client is a successful games studio located in the Central Mediterranean region. They are looking for a talented Lead VFX Artist to join their passionate team. This role is offered fully onsite.

What you will be doing:


  • Collaborate closely with the design and environment art team to develop effects for characters, weapons, interactions, vehicles and animals.
  • Utilise the engine’s particle editor to create VFX material.
  • Construct HLSL shaders for material and particle effects.
  • Generate pre-rendered visual effects (VFX) with external tools for best performance and appearance.
  • As a strong leader, mentor junior art and design team members.


Who you are:


  • You have previously shipped AAA games and are able to showcase a strong portfolio.
  • You have several years of expertise working as a 2D and 3D artist.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled in using real time engines.
  • Strong knowledge of matter interactions and real-world physics.
  • You are able to receive feedback and use the guidance to improve your work.


Bonus:


  • Experience using Unreal Engine and/or Unity, High-level shader language (HLSL).
  • You are keen on innovative gaming technologies and have an eagerness to push limits.
  • Skilled in coding.
