Most of that time has been spent thinking of ways to shoe horn “Risky Business” references into this advert. The last 5 minutes have been dedicated to eating a bowl of cereal. At night. Just before bed in fact. Which if I’m looking for a good nights sleep is risky bus…oh who am I kidding.

Whilst I sure as hell suck at dropping 80’s movie references into job ads I’ve been told I’m pretty good at recruiting which is why a client of mine has asked me to help them find a Risk Lead for a brand new permanent role.

This position has been created to support the business during their biggest Digital Transformation Programme to date. We’re talking wholesale change to Sales, Service, Order Management and Finance and Operations functions. That big.

The business are investing heavily in their whole tech stack and would love someone with a strong background in risk management and expertise at identifying, defining, implementing and documenting risk requirements to join them during a period of significant change... just like the one Tom Cruise’s character Joel went through in the film Risk…OK OK I’ll stop.

You don’t need prior experience of working on company wide transformation programmes enabled by leading ERP solutions (D365 in this particular case) BUT you’ll definitely get it by working with this organisation.

My client are Hampshire based and offering hybrid working with plenty of flexibility to work remotely provided you’re happy to be on site at certain times during the programme. They’ve even got a good idea of when that might be so whilst you might benefit from being in Hampshire yourself for this role, candidates further afield in the UK would also be considered.

A couple of things to note, and I don’t like setting rules (unlike Joel’s parents in the film Risky Business) but it’s worth mentioning that the client have asked for people to have the following experience:

  • An accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Previous experience preparing Risk-Control matrixes from scratch.

That’s it.

There’s a base salary of £50-60,000 on offer and whilst officially it’s not a recognised benefit you’ll be working with a phenomenally talented Head of Risk who you can’t help but be inspired by.
