We're looking for a Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer to join our Transportation team to provide support to clients and lead the development of traffic signal design projects on time, within budget and to the agreed standards. A driving licence is an essential as regular site visits for design and commissioning of traffic signal projects across the UK is a requirement for this position.

Location: Nationwide - remote working with travel to sites required


Contract: Permanent Fulltime


Salary: £45k - £52.5k + company car + benefits


 


Responsibilities


As a Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer, you'll provide effective and efficient management of workload programming, resources and financial aspects of projects.


Your day to day will include:



  • Identify and take account of relevant technical and engineering standards at all project stages
  • Resolve assigned problems or issues to support the delivery of projects or design objectives.
  • Take responsibility for engineering and technical tasks, identifying where unfamiliar techniques and methodologies will be used to resolve issues
  • Represent the company in a professional manner in order to deliver appropriate levels of customer care, build client relationships and internal networks

 


What are we looking for?


This role of Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer is great if you have:



  • HNC/HND or Degree or equivalent or significant specialist experience in lieu of formal academic qualifications
  • Specialist knowledge of the traffic signal design discipline, typically gained through advanced training or qualifications and experience
  • Understanding of the engineering and technical discipline
