This is a permanent position. There also is the option of a 4 day week. Some flexibility can be offered re hours. Very competitive rates of pay, apply for more detail regarding this.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To assist the Nursery Manager with the day to day running of the Nursery; to help manage the staff team and assist with recruitment of staff; to ensure that all policies and procedures of the Nursery are adhered to; to work as part of a team to deliver an ambitious and flexible curriculum, which is driven by the children's interests and curiosity; to have an excellent knowledge of child development in order to accurately observe and assess children.
Operational responsibilities:
To ensure that the Nursery conforms to, and exceeds Ofsted requirements; to ensure that the Nursery consistently meets the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage to a minimum 'good' standard; to maintain regular staff supervisions, assessing the performance of all staff through regular management observations.
As a minimum, an NVQ Level 3 qualification in childcare is required, and at least 2 years experience in a Senior Management role in an Early Years setting. The position is subject to two satisfactory employment references and a DBS check.
