Sous Chef Role:
As the Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in bringing our vision to life. Working alongside our Head Chef, youll help develop and execute a menu thats both nostalgic and contemporary. Youll oversee kitchen operations, maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and help foster a dynamic, passionate kitchen team.
Sous Chef responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to design a menu that pays tribute to British culture and heritage, with a modern twist.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Lead, train, and inspire a dedicated kitchen team to create a seamless and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain health and safety standards,** ensuring the kitchen meets hygiene regulations and procedures.
  • Manage inventory,** oversee ordering, and monitor kitchen costs to maintain efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Innovate with ingredients,** working with seasonal, locally sourced produce to reflect the essence of British cuisine.
Sous Chef requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally in a fine dining or British-inspired restaurant setting.
  • Passion for British cuisine, culture, and a keen eye for detail in every dish.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, maintaining composure and leadership in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • A strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety and inventory management.
  • Creativity, with a respect for tradition and a drive to reinvent classic British dishes with a contemporary flair.
  • Excellent team player with a collaborative spirit and strong communication skills.
