Hireworks is the leading provider for Avid, Adobe, and a full selection of data recorders and EVS equipment for use on a wide variety of major feature films, TV, and live productions.

Hireworks currently has a vacancy to join their Technical Support & Installation team.

About the Role

Location:

You will be based predominantly at our main workshop near Heathrow.

The role also involves occasionally working at locations across the UK and in mainland Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of multiple non-linear editing systems, particularly Avid systems
  • Scanning out equipment in order to help track all assets.
  • Simple maintenance of equipment
  • Goods In – receiving deliveries/kit and processing related paperwork, checking technical equipment is in good working order.
  • Goods out – overseeing the return of equipment and assuring the correct procedures for its return
  • Working closely with the Hire Manager to monitor workshop operations and implement changes to improve the flow of assets and engineers.
  • To ensure a standardised aesthetic to kit in relation to branding and asset control stickers.
  • To be constantly looking for and implementing ideas to increase general efficiency of the workshop processes.
  • PAT testing of equipment and ensuring that all items are logged within our PAT test database.
  • To manage stock audits within the workshop as well as across our locations within Soho.

About You

Key Skills & Experience:

  • As a representative of the Company, you must have excellent customer focus & strong communication skills
  • You should be able to work autonomously to a high standard under time pressure
  • An understanding of Avid systems & broadcast technology is desirable but not essential
