As a Sonographer at our Cambridge Hospital, you’ll bring high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and you’re caring by nature with excellent teamwork skills.

As a Sonographer, you will:

  • Need high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Deliver high quality ultrasound imaging & reporting for a varied caseload within the department.

What are we looking for in a Sonographer?

  • You will have a BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Postgraduate diploma / DMU in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Post registration experience of general ultrasound imaging and reporting to include Gynae pelvis scanning.
  • Experience of managing an ultrasound quality assurance programme will also be an advantage.
  • You must have excellent communication and IT skills, along with a good understanding of how to encourage and promote effective team work.
