Salary: Depending on experience (Pro Rata working 3 days per week).


We are an established tanning and cosmetic brand looking for a talented and creative product designer to join our team. You will be working in a vibrant, fast paced office environment to deliver creative projects for a wide range of products to help elevate our brand through visually appealing designs.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required in Graphic Design.
  • 2+ years’ experience in product design ideally in the beauty sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively over multiple projects.
  • Adobe creative suite (Illustrator, photoshop, In-Design)
  • Microsoft office packages
  • Able to work towards branding guidelines & style guides.
  • Knowledge of packaging & print costs would be an advantage.
  • A portfolio of your work demonstrating your experience to date.
  • An awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, and market trends.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of projects from idea conception to artwork delivery.
  •  Making visual mock ups of new packaging designs as set out in strategy briefs.
  •  Working closely with Head of Buying and Merchandising on all artwork approvals to ensure accurate, consistent, and well-designed products are delivered on time.
  • Creating style guides for packaging and products of high quality.
  •  Preparing all files to be sent to suppliers.
  • Attend internal meetings and design presentations.
  • Attention to detail, working within deadlines and ensure daily tasks are complete to keep smooth running of the team.
  • Maintaining brand consistency is key to have a consistent look of our products.
  • Knowledge of design trends and techniques.
  • Ensure all product designs follow the seasonal concepts and consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Any other duties as required by the Head of Buying and Merchandising, and demand of the team working projects.


Interview Process:

  • 1st stage – initial chat (30 mins). An introductory conversation with managers to learn more about yourself and experience and for you to find out more about the role.
  • Stage 2 – Presentation to be carried out – brief given during stage one initial chat.
  • Stage 3 – Formal final Stage interview (1 hour) present Presentation to business Senior Management.
