About the Role:
Our client, a prominent force in the consultancy sector, is expanding its team and seeks a dynamic Data Science and Machine Learning Consultant to address the complex challenges within the Defence and Security industry. This position offers the chance to contribute to high-impact projects aimed at enhancing national security.
Key Responsibilities:
Employ advanced data science and machine learning techniques to tackle intricate problems.
Engage in research and development to craft innovative solutions.
Maintain knowledge of the latest technologies in machine learning and data science.
Participate in the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from proof of concept to deployment.
Produce high-quality technical documentation and lead crucial aspects of project delivery.
Provide practical solutions to clients and collaborate on implementation within project teams.
Prepare responses to client proposals and contribute to the pitching of data science projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in applying data science or machine learning within Defence/Security, the broader public sector, or academia.
Familiarity with various machine learning architectures and models (e.g., Transformers, CNNs).
Structured problem-solving approach with excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage client relationships effectively.
Flexibility in skill set and strong adaptability to evolving project demands.
Desirable:
Experience with cloud-based Data Science and Machine Learning tools (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency in Python, Jupyter, and popular machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Knowledge in Ethical AI principles and their application.
