JOB TITLE:

Joinery CAD Draughtsman
REPORTS TO:

Joinery Manager

The service, provided from one of the most modern and well equipped joinery departments in the East of England, is available for highly specialised individual project or as a complementary skill to our Building and Services departments.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a leading, well established joinery company based in Cambridge.

Duties:
Taking briefs and ideas from clients/designers and turning them into full working drawings/setting out for in house joinery production.
Liaising closely with the Joinery Manager to establish cost effective and efficient ways to manufacture projects within budget and to specification.
Coordinating the ordering of specialist materials required for the project.
Effectively briefing Joiners/Machinists once drawings have been approved and throughout production.
Ensuring the work is completed in a timely manner and within budget.
Deputise in Joinery Manager's absence.

Person Requirements :
A good knowledge of joinery practices, processes and requirements
Up to date knowledge of health and safety matters
Proficient in the use of CAD systems
Ability to communicate and interact with relevant stakeholders including clients and staff
Ability to design and schedule to order and to timetable
Excellent product knowledge for joinery
Excellent attention to detail
Able to represent the Company professionally when dealing with clients
