Job Description

As Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for your own portfolio of matters, advising the business in London and Europe on commercial contracts matters associated with a range of broad commercial matters, mainly focused on creative production. This will include reviewing and negotiating a broad range of contracts such as master services agreements, software-as-a-service agreements, deal memos, voice over agreements, location agreements, waivers, standard form supplier agreements, training the business on self-service templates and the contractual process.

You will support the Legal Director on large complex or strategic matters, if necessary, and you will also provide oversight and guidance to more junior members of the team where applicable.



Job Qualifications:

You will need to demonstrate versatility, a commercial approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges, even if they are not within your area of expertise


Essential Skills:



  • Preferred experience in key legal areas affecting Tag (general commercial, intellectual property, production, marketing and advertising, technology)
  • Growing understanding of Tag’s business operations; goals and strategies in area of responsibility
  • Ability to apply legal knowledge and expertise in business environment
  • Developing legal analytical skills and ability to provide pragmatic solutions
  • Good communication, negotiation and drafting skills
  • Degree in law
  • Professional law qualifications and a valid practising certificate

This role would suit a lawyer circa 6 PQE, but all levels of experience will be considered



Responsibilities

  • Advise members of the business on legal and related risks associated with Tag’s operations in area of responsibility
  • Largely work autonomously within given remit
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients
  • Provide general legal and contractual advice
  • Analyse and interpret case law, court reports, and proposed and existing laws and regulations to prepare technical reports on how they impact Tag’s operations
  • Advise business on legal trends and developing areas of law
  • Assist senior members of the team in training the business
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation
