The Supply Register are delighted to be working in an exclusive partnership with a Multi-Academy Trust in Stockport. We are proud of the relationship we hold with the trust and with this, provide staffing for short, medium and long-term vacancies.

We are currently recruiting a SEMH Cover Teacher within a short term position to cover until the end of this academic year. The role will be varied so will suit those looking for part-time or flexible working arrangements. We are seeking an experienced SEMH Cover Teacher to lead classes of 6-8 children with the supervision of a Learning Support Assistant. The right candidate must have experience in working with children with additional educational needs and supporting them with their work. Good knowledge on science would be a bonus but not a must. If you have a proven track record of assisting students with their studies, managing behaviour, and being able to deliver engaging and stimulating lessons, please get in touch

Responsibilities

Ensure pupils are engaged in lessons and are completing their work as necessary

Manage pupils' behaviour and ensure they are displaying appropriate behaviour

Ensure pupils safety both in and out of the classroom

Record and report any incidents that may take place

Requirements

Previous experience in an education or childcare role is essential

Must have the Right to Work in the UK

Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one

Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 references and cover the last 2 years of employment
