The Package



The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.

The salary for this role is up to circa £75k + benefits. They operate a hybrid working model from either their Southampton offices.


The Role


A market leading organisation within marine engineering is searching for a software engineer to join their small team and develop technologies that improve the energy efficiency of marine vessels. This role will see you working within a team of cloud, frontend and backend engineers who are focused on developing a scalable data platform that processes millions of incoming data points.


You'll be working with cloud architects, snr software engineers, data scientists and naval architects to design & develop the data platform and microservices components in C# on Azure platforms.


Key skills and experience:


  • Strong working knowledge of C#
  • Any experience of Python is ideal, but NOT essential
  • React or JavaScript
  • Experience with either SQL Alchemy, Django or Entity Framework
  • Azure Cloud/Azure DevOps
