Your new role
The primary focus of this role is to manage the accuracy and completeness of Scheme member data. This role will drive the data strategy to improve the integrity of data over the life cycle of member journeys thereby enabling the operation to utilise technological solutions to deliver an exceptional member experience.
In order to achieve this, the role will build and maintain a data cleanse programme, to rectify known data issues, as well as execute a suite of routine data checks enabling improvements to be measured and giving confidence that no new issues are being created. Identifying process improvements to enhance/maintain the quality of data will also be a key aspect of the role, as will defining and implementing an internal 'data quality score' to support business prioritisation for data cleanse activity and data governance.
Key to the effectiveness of this role is an in-depth knowledge of how pension scheme data gets used in practice as well as the ability to report and analyse Scheme pension data.
Responsibilities
Lead the data services team with expertise
Collaborate with project teams on client onboarding
Develop and implement data strategy initiatives
Manage data cleanse projects to rectify issues
Identify process improvements to maintain data quality
Define and implement internal data quality score
Experience needed
Experienced Defined Benefit pensions professional with an excellent understanding of managing, reporting and improving data in a regulated environment
Strong people skills with the ability to communicate / interact at all levels within the organisation and external to the organisation
Strong diagnostic, analytical and process skills
Strong leadership and line management capability and experience
Organisational strategic awareness and proven ability of developing strategic solutions in a commercial environment
