Are you a SEN Teacher committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people? We are looking for an SEN Teacher to join our fantastic team at Acorn Park School.

As a SEN Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises students’ achievement and ability to develop.

About the role This is a great opportunity for a SEN Teacher who wants to spend less time on paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs.

When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best.

We are looking for a SEN Teacher, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

Educated to Qualified Teacher Status you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.

Qualifications required Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent); Degree or equivalent.

PGCE or equivalent.

QTS/ QTLS preferred.

About us Acorn Park is a school for 98 pupils, who all have a primary diagnosis of Autism.

We run two curriculum pathways – Formal and Semi-formal.

Our Complex needs pupils are on the Semi-Formal Pathway which is highly personalised from their EHCP.

We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils as we have 8 co-located pupil’s homes on our 30 Acre site in rural Norfolk.

On site, we also have a large Forest School and Animal Care Farm along with play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
