About the Pub

The Ship Inn is an attractive roadside pub located on main road leading into Farnborough, close to junction 4 of the M3. The site benefits from large car park, beer garden, patio area. two bars and good sized private accomodation.

The internal trading area comprises two bars; the main bar is long and narrow and can accommodate 24 covers. The second, which is close to the garden area and trade kitchen, currently has pool and darts facilities. The seating is a mixture of high stools and loose tables and chairs and the decor is traditional in style with parquet flooring. There is a need for the pub to be given some 'TLC' in order for it to reach its full potential. Facilities include a compact cellar accessed from behind the bar and a trade kitchen, suitable for the provision of a good quality pub grub menu.

Regional Manager's Thoughts

The customer base is very much from the local area and there are a number of clubs based here that remain loyal to the business. Potential exists for the ingoing Publican to develop a good quality pub grub operation along with cask ales to further grow the trade. This opportunity would suit a new starter, or a more experienced operator.

This pub is surrounded by residential properties, lies very close to the M3 and the town of Frimley. Farnborough College is in close proximity providing plenty of opportunity for footfall.
