Our client is a leading provider specializing in automated genotyping and health monitoring services for laboratory animals, supporting the scientific community with innovative solutions. They focus on areas such as Microbiome, Genetic Monitoring, and Artificial Mouse Intelligence to enhance research accuracy and efficiency.

Our client seeks a results-oriented Account Manager to drive sales growth in Microbiome, Genetic Monitoring, and Artificial Mouse Intelligence within a designated territory, focusing on large laboratory adoption. The role involves collaborating with the Regional Account Management team to achieve 15% annual genotyping revenue growth, developing and servicing business in academic research institutions, and modelling the client's core values, mission, and vision.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, handle customer negotiations, resolve issues, and ensure sales goals are met.
  • Stay updated on technical and scientific information, competitor services, and sales strategies to enhance sales effectiveness and contribute to the development of new sales and marketing tools.
  • Achieve a 15% growth in genotyping revenue, secure first-time orders for Genetic Monitoring and Microbiome, and ensure adoption of Artificial Mouse Intelligence software by at least 50% of current customers.
  • Conduct 20 new meetings per week (virtual or in-person) and drive service adoption among large, well-funded laboratories.
  • Upsell existing customers on Microbiome, Genetic Monitoring, and Artificial Mouse Intelligence, add new diagnostic tests, and hunt for new account opportunities, working closely with Regional Account Managers to facilitate customer adoption.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' sales experience, preferably in Life Science and laboratory settings.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledgeable about the evolving research field and lab services market.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities, effective in diverse customer settings.

Personal Attributes:

  • Service-oriented, approachable, flexible, energetic, and capable of working independently and collaboratively with a strong work ethic.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend all relevant meetings and training sessions, be responsible for territory performance, and perform other assigned duties with a proactive, creative approach.
