Role Overview:

Purpose:

  • To prepare and submit lift layout drawings to customers.
  • To obtain drawing approval from customers, ensuring lifts are approved for manufacture according to key dates.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Drawing Preparation:
  • Use AutoCAD and/or PDF writer to create lift arrangement drawings for customer approval.
  • Respond to technical queries about approval drawings, consulting specialists as needed.
  • Revise drawings based on changes during the approval process or post-approval for manufacture.
  1. Approval Process:
  • Update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with contract progression details and key dates.
  • Approve the Compnay lift products for manufacture using the Electronic Ordering System (EOS).
  • Approve other lift products for manufacture via email to the supplier.
  1. Database Management:
  • Maintain and update Excel databases with contract and progression information.
  • Update the library of Typical Drawings for use by the Sales team.
  1. Customer and Internal Liaison:
  • Communicate with customers throughout the approval process to meet key dates, such as the latest drawing approval date to ensure timely installation.
  • Coordinate with the installation department regarding installation schedules during the approval process.
  1. Additional Duties:
  • Perform additional or varied responsibilities as required by the position.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

Essential:

  • Proficiency in project management best practices.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with product development processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Background in administrative support.
  • Experience using project management tools.
  • Proficiency in technical drawing and CAD software.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Good mathematics skills.
  • IT proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft suite.
  • Understanding of engineering principles.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the platform lift industry.
  • Experience in the construction industry, especially working with architects and builders.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: £30,000 per annum
  • Pension Scheme: 8% employer contribution
  • Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Location:

  • Office-Based Role: Near Loughborough
