About the Pub

The Star Inn has an informal, open plan feel with three separate areas that include a snug, mainly used for diners, a lounge bar which is popular with the locals, and a dedicated games and entertainment room with pool, darts and live sports viewing. The full refurbishment will see new flooring, upholstery and interior styling, whilst remaining in keeping with the traditional and welcoming atmosphere the pub currently offers. The pub also has opportunity to develop a food offering and boasts a trade kitchen. The Star Inn features a spacious, secluded beer garden to the rear, with a large covered decked area seating around 20 customers, and beyond this an open plan patio seating a further 60. The bonus of a brick-built barbeque facility means that food trade can be increased over the summer months.

Regional Manager's Thoughts

The Star Inn has become a strong pub business due to great drinks, entertainment and local and live sporting events. To help build upon this success, the pub is undergoing a full internal refurbishment and will receive additional seating in its beer garden. The new publican has the opportunity to expand the Star’s customer base to include both locals and tourists by continuing to offer patrons excellent value for money. This is an exciting prospect for a new starter in the pub industry.

Surrounding Area

Being so close to the sandy beach of Cayton Bay, the Star Inn is a brilliant option for tourists to enjoy a traditional pub experience. Surrounding caravan, camping and holiday parks mean a large volume of holiday makers descend to the local area throughout the year. Situated less than a mile away from the local Eastfield high street, there are also plenty of businesses and schools nearby.
